At Colorado State, we are proud of the many programs, initiatives, and activities we have developed designed to create a welcoming and supportive campus for diverse populations.
However, up until now, there was no mechanism in place to catalog or keep track of them all. That is the purpose of the Diversity Inventory – a comprehensive, searchable listing of all of our institution’s various activities aimed at advancing diversity, equity and inclusion.
Your input is valued and critical for the success of this Inventory.
We are calling on all campus units to access the Diversity Inventory website and submit their activities. The Inventory is a comprehensive catalog of projects, programs, events, seminars, grants, research projects, etc. – both new and historic — related to the University’s broad concept of diversity and inclusion. Please note: this is not a calendar listing. By documenting these activities, the Diversity Inventory will provide the capacity for both internal and external constituents to browse and search efforts, allowing us to promote, share, collaborate and celebrate the wealth of activities across campus.
Commitment to inclusion
At Colorado State University, we are committed to enhancing diversity and equity through the inclusion of individuals reflective of characteristics such as: age, culture, different ideas and perspectives, disability, ethnicity, first-generation status, familial status, gender identity and expression, geographic background, marital status, national origin, race, religious and spiritual beliefs, sex, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status and veteran status. In addition, given the historic and legal discrimination that has existed in American society, particular emphasis needs to be placed on the inclusion of individuals who are members of groups that have been excluded.
