Fort Collins Interfaith Council Hosting Virtual Town Hall on Racism in Northern Colorado

From the Fort Collins Interfaith Council:

The World Wisdoms Project and Fort Collins Area Interfaith Council are teaming up to have a sustained and deepened conversation about race, privilege, white supremacy and how to make Fort Collins – and our nation – a more equitable, healing community for all.

Join us for the first in this effort: a virtual listening session this Sunday, June 14th at 3:00 p.m. MST highlighting the experiences of people of color in Fort Collins. Reverend David Williams, Rabbi Hillel Katzir, and Reverend Laura Nelson will host.

We will follow this gathering with two sessions in July: an Interfaith Council meeting with a program addressing white privilege (July 2) and a World Wisdoms Project presentation “The Roots of White Privilege” by Professor Jeannine Hill Fletcher (Fordham University), author of The Sin of White Supremacy: Christianity, Racism & Religious Diversity in America (TBA). These will be followed by at least one session in August about engaging work for racial justice in Fort Collins and beyond.

Please email info@worldwisdomsproject.org or visit the Fort Collins Interfaith Council Facebook page to register.
