April 12: Sexual Assault Awareness Month: Alternative Break Digital Shorts and Panel

The Women and Gender Advocacy Center will show alternative break digital shorts with a following panel, during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, sponsored by the Women and Gender Collaborative.

The month of April has been designated Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) in the United States. The goal of SAAM is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence.

This screening will showcase videos created by CSU survivors of interpersonal violence. These videos were made as a part of an Alternative Spring Break Trip that aimed to end silence around violence by exploring healing through art and video. After the screening there will be a panel discussion with the student filmmakers and dinner will be provided.
