Jun 10: Healthy Aging Speaker Series

Columbine Health Systems Center for Healthy Aging’s upcoming Healthy Aging Speaker Series event will feature Devin Wahl, a second-year postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Thomas LaRocca’s Healthspan Biology Laboratory in the Columbine Health Systems Center for Healthy Aging and Department of Health and Exercise Science. In this seminar, Wahl will discuss recent research from the HBL suggesting that transcripts from non-coding repetitive elements in the genome are associated with aging and may play a role in age-related disease. He will also briefly describe two pre-clinical models that may be useful to study brain aging, Alzheimer’s disease, and related dementias.

Register here for this event, to be held on June 10 at 12 p.m.
